Automotive Technician

Impulse Performance is looking for a motivated and experienced full-time Automotive Technician. The ideal candidate must be self-driven, work diligently and be able to produce high quality workmanship. A solid understanding of engine performance along with suspension tuning, aftermarket parts installation, and engine assembly is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis as well as perform the necessary repairs for them.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on a variety of race, performance, and street vehicles.
  • Cater to the unique needs of each build order efficiently and accurately.
  • Disassemble engines, inspect components, measure tolerances, verify clearances and reassemble engines to specifications.
  • Clearly document and record work that is performed on the repair order.
  • Effectively communicate with the designated service manager or advisor when adjustments and additional work is needed.
  • Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ experience in Automotive Repair field
  • Experience working on Japanese makes
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of empirical and metric precision measuring equipment
  • Experience setting critical engine clearances and tolerances per specifications
  • Must have own tools
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Must have a passion for motorsports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
