Overview

The PRL Motorsports FK8 Titanium Turbocharger Inlet Pipe Kit is designed to address a critical restriction in the factory intake tract on the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type-R FK8 platform. This version features our titanium inlet pipe finished in a Black Thermal Coated treatment, combining the lightweight strength and precision fitment of titanium with advanced thermal management.

The OEM turbo inlet path is limited in both diameter and geometry, creating a bottleneck as airflow approaches the turbocharger. Our solution replaces that section with a larger diameter, smooth-transition titanium inlet designed to promote consistent airflow into the compressor. The result is improved efficiency and increased performance potential across the powerband.

This Black Thermal Coated version utilizes Techline’s Polyphen Thermal Dispersant coating. This coating is engineered to rapidly disperse heat away from the inlet pipe surface, helping reduce localized heat soak while distributing heat more evenly. By managing temperatures more effectively in a high-heat engine bay, the system supports cooler intake conditions and improved consistency during aggressive driving.
